Greetings, and WELCOME aboard Sue.
Unfortunately, you are seeking accommodations during High season in the Virgins.
Good luck!

Yes we know, but that is when the work is! So we still need to look for accommodation for the next six months from about mid November to June. Obviously we will look when we arrive, but this forum might also help us. Thanks for the reply tho.

Aloha Suesh,
Welcome aboard! I can't help you with your search but there are others here on the forum from that area that might be able to.
Kind regards,

I always have a 3 month supply and have never been asked anything about meds. I only have a few and half are OTC. I would not think it would be a problem from what I have seen and I pass in and out of customs several times each trip.

You have indicated you will be working in BVI for 6 months... do you have your Work Permit in place? You really need it prior to arrival, otherwise your stay is limited to 30 days. Most of us have no problem with this as we simply go to USVI for a few days/ weeks and return as often as necessary.

If you have an employer already signed up, they should be able to facilitate your Work permit process. Generally it is somewhat difficult to get permits in such jobs as Charter Capt as the local supply is sufficient. Not really sure about instruction but certified would probably fit in.

Hi yes everything is in place,my partner has a work permit for a year and we arrive in5 days. It's just that i have been packing and got to the medicines eg asprin, paracetamol etc and packed probably enough for the year although we are only staying until June, and then wondered if there might be a problem bringing them into Tortola - can't find any guidelines anywhere.
