Tom of Camano Island

Greetings to all,
I am new to the forum and sailing in general, haven't sailed in the last three decades, but that is about to change. Plans for retiring and buying a good used blue water boat are currently in effect, more on that later.
I am living in the Puget sound area closer to Anacortes and Bellingham then Seattle.
Can any of you fine individuals recommend some good resources for sailing schools, brokers, surveyors, parts supplies and info of any kind regarding this great discipline, oh! and any opportunities for helping with crewing in this area.
I am of sound mind (most of the time) and a physically fit and able body..
Just want to add a thank you to all who have been here before me and shared all of the great advice available on this forum.
Looking forward to hearing what you have to say.
Tom on Camano Island.

Re: Tom of Camano Island

Start with the ASA website. It will list all the sailing schools(ASA) in your area.
Also might check out NauticEd for some theory, very reasonable online learning courses.

Welcome to the Asylum...
