Re: This place is like crack...

Welcome to the forum pilotdave. You will find plenty of enablers here in the zoo. First rule is keep more water outside of the boat than you let in or you could develop negative buoyancy.

Re: This place is like crack...

Dave,

Congrats!

We recently purchased a boat that we are fixing up. We brought it down from Groton at the beginning of December. Cold, but we made it to Annapolis.

Sounds like you've got a great plan. And renting out your condo, a week here and a week there, might make the transition easier. Especially if you are in the middle of projects, etc. You can always say, "next week I will be back in my bed!"

Best of luck!

Hi Dave,

Glad you found the place. It can be a lot of fun and a great resource. I know we have had all of our questions answered over the last few years just by mining the archives and if isn't there, we have (almost always) found links for further info. Enjoy.

You really should join the international bucketeers squadron

Many are called, but few are chosen

Welcome aboard

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
