The Weather Is Here - Wish You Were Beautiful!
Sorry, had to steal a line from ole Buffet. Hi all!! Just a lonely, landlocked, salty soul looking at the greener side. No matter how tough and bleak things may look at sail, remember there's us miserable dreamers lacking either the knowledge, fortitude, or means to be where you're at. I'm not romanticizing the idea of living aboard, just conveying to those whom may have found it commonplace; how much more desirable it is in comparison to land life. I intend to make friends and incur vast amounts of nautical knowledge here on Cruisers' Forum. Greetings and thanks for having me! And as soon as I attain my seaplane rating, hopefully I'll be meeting a few of you. Tight lines, and happy trails......sdlatitude

Greetings, and welcome aboard sdlatitude.

SDlatitude,
Loved your post, I see your a Texas gal too. I was landlocked for eight years. Though I wasn't miserable on land, I am so incredibly happy back on the water! I live on a Cape Dory 30. Your joke "No matter how tough and bleak things may look at sail, remember there's us miserable dreamers lacking either the knowledge, fortitude, or means to be where you're at." My next project is replacing the holding tank, you haven't lived till you work on the sanitation system on a boat the princess in me will not be happy but with no husband we do what we must.
If your ever in Clear Lake you are welcome to tie your sea plane up to Ocean Girls stern. I'll grill you up a steak (OG makes the best steaks!) a little jimmy and bob marley on the radio, a texas sunset...perfection. My baby wont be sailable for a couple of months but there is always a boat to hop aboard down here.
Great to meet you,
Erika
