The Dream Lives On

Hi All!
I think I posted in the wrong place- sorry about that. Just finding my way around this site.
We share the "dream" so many have mentioned- only perhaps from the back side. We cruised for 4 years in our Southerly 115 back in the '90s, but continue to savor the dream each time we are out on our boat (or sitting with a glass of wine around a warm fire.) Much of our info would be outdated now, but some things never change- the concern about weather, the gorgeous sunsets, the fantastic cruising community, and always the unexpected! We continue to seek info on new boating gear, and enjoy sharing experiences.
Kay (and hubby, Fred- he's the "thinker" and I'm the "talker!")

Seems any place is good to post.
I have my boat but a bit bigger than I am used to...a Windsurfer. Mine is a Nonsuch 30U. Good for single handing. I do have time to upgrade her and learn to not be scarred on her as Windsurfers are fast, responsive and easy to let go...
I will get to the cruising life soon enough I guess. Will be my second season this year.
I just hope mother nature is more co-operative this time around.

Thanks for the reassurance. Good luck with your new boat! There's so much to learn, the process never ends, but it's mostly fun, nevertheless.

Swagman
I really enjoyed your blog! Thank you. We too, loved those dolphins- we sang to them to try and make them stay. It never worked for long. Also enjoyed remembering The Solent, the English people, and sailing around southern England when we flew there to pick up our new boat. Had to have it shipped back to the States before we had it ready for cruising. Look forward to your continued adventures.
