Hi, Jim.

I've learned to give the "Nevis nettles" a wide berth on my hikes. Even "Paradise" has a few drawbacks.

G'Day All,

Desperate Voyage is indeed a good read, but its non-fiction rating is a bit exaggerated! I first read it years ago, and couldn't quite imagine that some of his adventures were true. Then later I read an interview with him in which he admitted that he had "embelllished" a few times at the insistance of his editor who thought that the story needed a bit more pizazz! Kinda like Tristan Jones... both great story tellers.

Cheers and good reading to all,

Aloha again Jim,

I'll let you know when I might be in Lexington next and we can meet somewhere and talk a bit. I'll probably be driving over to Richmond to look at some homes. Are there any military facilities left there other than the storage sites?

It'll probably be in May but will keep you informed.

regards,
