Taking the step to a bigger boat!

Hello,

We're new to this forum. We currently own a 1983 Catalina 36 (which is for sale, if you or someone you know is looking), and have decided to find a larger boat to become liveaboards. We're in Washington State (USA), on the Puget Sound.

The Catalina is our first boat, which we've had just over a year. I (Doug) have wanted to sail/have a boat for 30+ years, and we finally realized the dream. We enjoy it so much, Mary and I got married on our boat recently.

Our next boat (we think) is a 1997 Bavaria 46. We've looked and shopped and think she's the boat for us. We're in the purchase process now.

We want to cruise beyond the Puget Sound in a few years, so we'll have plenty of questions, and will be spending time reading the existing posts.

Doug

I have also just joined and also just begun to actualize the dream! Nice to read your story.
