Hi to all,
I have been browsing this forum for some months and this is my first post to say hello. I've owned various hot water boats and skiffs/hobies for 30 or so years, so now it's time to grow up and start planning for serious cruising. My plans are to get my first keel boat (looking now) and put on some L plates for a year or two, in preparation for some more adventurous cruising. Currently reading lots of books and getting some great information from the really interesting posts on this forum. I really appreciate the wisdom of some of the regular posters and look forward one day to being able to also share experiences. Steve Sydney, Australia |

You come from a section of the world known for creative yacht design thinking and creative yacht building. While I have never been there, it is my understanding that there is a wonderfully diverse selection of boats available in Australia and you should be able to find almost anything that you are looking for comparatively cheaply.
