I am sure German is fine but english is good too! Puerto Rico is beautiful! well i think all the places are all different and beautiful in their own ways. where are you heading next?

Okay, than i will write in English.
We debating already for a wile where we wanna go, the first option is to go to panama, store the boat there during the hurricane season and fly to the states for 4-6 month, or go with the boat up to Alabama. If we go to panama the crossing of the pacific would be the next goal, but if we go to Alabama we have more options.

I never knew how to spell Gruss gute until now. Is that correct? I used to use the greeting on Volskmarches in southern Germany.

Let me remind everyone that all posts need to be in English as per our rules.

Even for us who were born in Germany and still speak, read and write the language.

"Gruss Gott" BTW is the way it is written. Means "Greet God", but often used just as "Hello", more so in southern Germany. Not quite as difficult to translate as "all y'all" is.

I thought maybe since svmariane was in Vienna that they would know a different spelling. I too learned Gruss Gott but that was many years ago in Bavaria.

Thanks for the reminder about English. I do use the term Aloha in all my greetings to new members. Hopefully that one is ok?

LOL,, Aloha is just fine.

Slipping in the odd foreign word is needed sometimes, but what we want to avoid is whole postings in a non-English language. Although I think one can argue that Aloha no longer is a foreign word.

Now, "all y'all", that one is questionable.

I think "y'all" is singular and "all y'all" is for the whole crowd. I got to spend a bit of time in Kentucky and Florida but I think "all y'all" is Texas.
