I am not in your part of the world. Could you post the boat name? Someone might have seen the boat or heard him on the radio. Have you contacted the Coast Guard?

You should contact the authorities ASAP to assist you with your search. At what stage in his sailing plan would he be considered overdue? You could also contact Australian Customs to see if he has cleared customs. +61 2 62756666

G'day Lynn,
There are Aircraft going to Lord Howe on a regular basis which if requested could just look out about the estimated off shore distance the boat should be. The airline agent at Lord Howe might have some info if the boat stopped over at the Island. (He is multitasked!!) If you are concerned on the boats operation put that request of the Airline to the SAR centre in Canberra. email or phone me if you need help.

Radio systems do sometimes fail to work.

Regards Bill Goodward
