Re: So What Does "In Anger" Mean?

Making the decision to do it and working your plan means it's not too late.

Of course, the sooner the better is true at any age!

Welcome and wishing you sooner than later.

Oh I ain't afraid of what they might think, or say Don. I am just afraid my flame thrower will run out of fuel before I get all their boats toasted. I maxed out my CC buying beer for boatie. Got to save what little fuel I have for the ungrateful neighbor down the street. As soon as O boatie gets enough beer to satisfy his needs, hopefully that will happen before I have to declare bankruptcy. I promise I'll get those tanks filled, and the 27 jerry cans too. Be patient, and stock up on hotdogs.

Re: So What Does "In Anger" Mean?

Thanks GalleyWenchTale,

jezzz that's a mouth full. hmmm Galley=sailor speak for kitchen, Wench= someone that does all the crappy chores on a boat, or raises hell til you do em.(I thought I wanted one for my SeaRay, but I was required to put in a shower, a 1000gal hot water heater, AC, put linens on the cushions, furnish a uniform, and rags. I was making decent progress until I got to the hot water tank. To big I guess cause it sank the boat. Lucked out and talked a drunk barge captain into buying it as a hood ornament for his barge. I threw in some potted plants to put in it to sweeten the deal. He's happy, I'm happy, but I think I am done with "Wenches". Tale=Lies that start with "I swear this is the honest to god truth", or something like that. Being overly honest I don't tell tales, but I like reading them. Better be some real believable Tales on your blog, I don't want to reading reefed in Tales. Go full sails, or stay at the dock will be my motto ? ;>))

Good to have you posting here. After my couple days in a canoe on my river trip I know why it is so alluring. Can't wait to go again but'll have to be next year.

G'Day Andrew,

From a real old fart to an aspiring old fart: Welcome to CF.

And don't be buyin' Boatie too damn much beer. When he is hung over his posts are often hard to understand and he seems crabby. If you really want to become his friend, find some Aussies that need a boat delivered to Perth... he really likes that route!

Cheers,

Jim

I just used my brother on the bow and me on the stern and we lifted it up on top the truck. I'd like to get a self loading system like you have planned but for now that worked well.

got some wheels for it.

Re: So What Does "In Anger" Mean?

Agree "in anger" means in a real situation. There's also "ab irato", which is Latin for "from an angry man". Useful, but nobody will understand you. Does that matter? Not to me.

Re: So What Does "In Anger" Mean?

Welcome to the forum Andrew. Though we be at opposite ends of the continent. We just adopted a young Queensland heeler and then I had to go back to work in Africa for 3 months, he will soon be a good boat dog. I used to work with a guy that had a blue tick hound on board his commercial fishing boat, the dog would keep me company on those rough midnight watches. He did leave impressive amounts of excrement on the deck. I am going to teach "Smoke" how to go over the side, I've heard of other people doing it. I'll be home soon and be posting photos of my little guy, who I hear is quite a bit bigger than when I last saw him. I plan on retiring in the spring, after that, I'm planning on sailing around the horn to give boaty a hard time then just goof off after that. Hopefully we will cross paths out there somewhere.

So, what's this hole in the back of the stern seat? Don't tell me it's the poop deck!
