Hi all, 59 year old Kiwi buying my second yacht, first was the sailing dinghy I built when I was 16. I am looking at an Alan Wright Lotus 10.6 with a view to cruising around New Zealand over the next few years.

We live in Wellington - plenty of wind and half a day from the Marlborough Sounds.

I like the look of the forums and already a fan of OpenCPM and NZ Charts - a big thanks to those involved.

Hi, Welcome, and good luck with your boat purchase. Like you, I'm a big fan of OpenCPN and I just installed the beta version (V 2.4.708) and it's even better than before. I'm still playing around with it but so far, I am seriously impressed. James
