Shiver me timbers!

Hola, from northern MN. Someone told me last week, "baby, it's cold outside!". I agreed, as it was a brutal -41 here that morn'. Too much drifting snow to ice sail - so I be a "land lubber" for a while.

Been working on becoming a live aboard cruiser - want to head to warmer places in the next 1 & 1/2 years and "live on the hook" - as some of you say.

Will be posting some ??? on the other forums - things like "how big of a boat?" - looking at an older Morgan OI 461 - how about solar panels, generators, wind generators, "cold storage", etc. What types of work are there for some extra $$$.

Any good books for suggestions - I am open.

Hope you all respond to my ??? - as I will need all the help I can get.

In the mean time - a warm hearted "hi" from Minnesota - who knows which ones of you I will be anchored next to?

I'm amazed that you have managed to keep the other 9 1/2 digits ..in -41 f

I have a good buddy who lost the tips of 3 digits to a Zamboni....always turn off the auger before trying remove a puck!...lol

Anyway, I think Niger Caldor has a good Cruising Handbook...others will weigh in with more suggestions...

Welcome aboard! Celestialsailor probably didn't look at his thermometer until it was 10AM. I had 55 on mine Saturday or Sunday early morning. He does live half mile closer to the ocean.
My folks came from Norman County in MN and I had cousins in Bemidji.
You are looking at a really big boat. Many here don't agree with me but I think max size of 36 is ideal. This is the forum of many opinions so I'm certain you'll here more.
