Thumbs up It's a way of life!

Not all can handle it. Some are ignorant. And some hate it. Others can't live without it.

You can be cold, wet, scared and hungry while cruising....For days on end.

Then the sun shines again, and it is the worlds best lifestyle.

The good times makes up for the bad times....The bad being all the boat work and all the work to make money for the boat and gear...Plus the above, cold, wet hungy, etc.

The good time would be the freedom, the nature, travel, adventure, camraderi, and more...

Try it for ten years, if ya do not like it, sell the boat and move back on terra firma, IF ya like, keep sailing to the next horizon and the next island.

'Cruising the world' is no cure for all that ails you. Voyaging can be adventurous, stimulating, challenging, relaxing, stressful, life-threatening, laborious, financially draining, and full of compromises in other words just like any other way of living. Whether it is an improvement to your current manner of living depends heavily on who you are and what your personality is like. There are people who can be happy anywhere, and people that no place can make happy. I have seen the quote that "cruising intensifies your personality" which can be a very bad thing for some people whose personalities are better left un-intensified. Cruising is no escape from who you are, it is no panacea, it does not help you to see the world through rose color glasses, BUT if you are of a type that can enjoy life no matter what the world deals you, then cruising can be as good as life can get.

That's hysterical, Jeff! And way to easy to envision.

As my wife is fond of saying...

Higher highs and lower lows.
