Saying Hello

Hi everyone.
I'm old and retired from cruising but the memories are still there, very much so and as we live overlooking the sea they are active day by day.
My name is Trevor Liberson and together with my wife Ley we were full time liveaboards for eleven and a half years, and sailed in the Med, crossed the Atlantic, sailed in the USA, The Bahamas, The Caribbean and Venezuela, on the yachts Sea Mandala and Boon (The last was two boats with the same name). In the course of this we lost two boats, one to shipwreck and one in a hurricane in The Caribbean.
The point of all this preamble is that I can remember well the frantic search for knowledge before we started travelling and the number of mistakes that we made by taking other people's opinions as facts - not always the case.
Ley has written a book from the notes and diaries which we kept while we were travelling in which she describes our experiences ( which were distinctly underfunded).
If anyone is interested it's called The Misadventures of a Sea-Wyfe (note the spelling), and I'll put details of it on the for sale section.
Apart from this I'm glad to join this community and look forward to chatting to anyone who's interested.
