Refitting in Texas

I'm new to the forum. I live in Texas and am refitting a 26' Reinell, which appears to be a very unpopular boat on this forum. I just wanted to introduce myself and look forward to gleaning from the expertise on this site.

Welcome aboard. Why do you say it's unpopular?

Are you on Cedar Creek Reservoir or down on the gulf?

Aloha S&S,
Welcome aboard! You've probably read my criticism of the Reinell in other posts and I am sorry that it all seems negative. I think on a freshwater lake where big seas are not usual and the weather is more or less dry they would make a good boat. They certainly have plenty of room.
Good luck in your sailing career and if you have questions this is a great place to ask.
Kind regards,
JohnL

thanks...I appreciate it. My intent is only to use it on local lakes. I want to get some experience right now before completing the 3rd ASA course on bareboat chartering. I have completed the first two, but feel like I need to get some more experience on the water before advancing. This boat allows me to trailer to new places and as you say, have plenty of room for my family while acheiving that goal.
