Red Sea - Indian Ocean - interested?

Hello, we are planning on sailing down the Red Sea and on to the Seychelles in December 2008. Due to fears of piracy off Somalia, we would be happier joining or organizing a flotilla to sail together for the risky stretch at least. We plan on exiting Bab el Mandeb around the beginning of December. If you are planning a similar trip at a similar time, feel free to get in touch. We have a 54 foot sailing monohull. Thanks, Yonatan

Aloha Yonatan,
Welcome aboard!! I can't do the trip but it really sounds interesting.
Good luck in finding a flotilla.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

That's like the guys running from the lion.

One guy says, "I hope we can run faster than this lion."

The other guys says, "I just have to run faster than you!"

As soon as I get a faster boat, count me in...

John and Jolanda on s/y “JoHo”, who organised the Red Sea Rally (2007?), may have some pertinent advice.
