Raven's Dance Peparing for Grand Circumnavigation

Hi and thanks for the warm welcome. It appears there is literally a ton of knowledge out here from experienced cruisers and those appreciating the sharing of it. We depart Whittier, Alaska on June 23, 2014 with the intent to perform a circumnavigation of the Pacific Ocean first and then will do the Atlantic next. This is a six to seven year sail plan.

Raven's Dance is a 1985 Nauticat NC 43 built by Siltala Yachts in Finland. I have been the proud owner of her since 2010. We have been to Puget Sound and back to Alaska twice performing upgrades for the world tour. Now we feel we are ready. We sail south to Puget Sound first, then San Francisco, then San Diego for the Baja - Ha Ha. After that we slumber our way down the Mexican and central American coast to join the Pacific Puddle Jump. After that, I'll fill you in.

You may watch our progress on her Facebook page under Raven's Dance Sailing.

We look forward to participating in both give and take on the forums where we can and maybe make some new friends along the way.

Donn & Jee

Hi, Donn & Jee,

Welcome aboard.

There's another Nauticat aboard CF, painstakingly refit by minaret. He's in WA now, but may be casting off, soonish, now.

Howdy and Welcome!

Sounds like a wonderful plan for enjoying that great boat (I like Nauticats and hope to have one in the future).
