Quarter Moon signing in...

Hello all ... looking forward to gleaning some knowledge from all you sailors.
My husband and I are planning a cruise in 2007. Since we are not wealthy enough to retire in style...we figured we would just take a year or so off now and "pay the piper" later. Planning on heading to Central America...but, plans are subject to winds and weather and whims. I have been fortunate enough to have been able to sail the west coast of Central America and loved the people and the sail...looking forward to trying the Caribbean side this time. Or, not....maybe this site will change our minds...Good sailing to all!

Greetings & welcome aboard. Grab yourself a cold one, pull up a stool and relax.

Welcome

Welcome aboard.

Boy do I envy you guys, planning to take 12 months off soon. I have just signed a new lease for my business premises for another 4 years so looks like I'm land lcked for now.

Anyway, you guys enjoy your time off and have a great cruise.

Fair winds and calm anchorages

Steve

Welcome! Winds, weather, and whims seems like the best approach to me. I hope we don't change your mind about that. The great part about sailing is when you sail you are already there.

Welcome aboard Quarter Moon. We certainly share your philosophy of weather, whim, and whatever........We are getting underway later today and we have changed our destination several times in the past week. But we really do not have much in the way of plans. Since we just installed a new system or two plus a new fuel pump, we are headed out for a week of gunkholing on the East Coast of the US before we make up our mind whether to go South or North. At this point, the Chesepeake Bay is getting top consideration and then south after the hurricane season. Look forward to hearing about your cruise preparations and progress. SV Tin Cup
