Planning to Get Back Onboard

Greetings mates. Recently I took my 20 year old daughter, Marina, to the in-the-water boat show in Oriental, NC. The first sail boat we boarded, she scampered below deck, went all the way forward to the V berth, climbed up and lay down. After I caught up with her she said, “Daddy, this feel like home.”
“Sure, it would baby, that is where you slept when you were just an infant,” I replied. When Marina was born, we lived on a 42 foot Oday sloop in California. We were living in Newport Beach on the Nightrainbow when she was born. The first two years of her life were spent onboard so she got her sea legs learning to walk the decks.
My career went into a tail spin and we had to swallow the anchor 18 years ago. Marina is absolutely committed to having another sailboat to live aboard so the plan is to cash everything in, which is not all that much after the recent divorce, but as long as we are modest in our dreams we should be able to pull it off by the time I retire in a couple of years. We are off the boat show">Annapolis boat show next month to fuel the excitement.

Think you have exactly the right attitude to make it a reality!

Same same,
Hope you both achieve the dream and one day see yourselves back out on the water.

Crazy story. We have our 7 week old onboard here in San Diego. I can't wait to teach her about the water.
