Permission to Board this Vessel ?

Dear Cruisers:

Dear Cruisers:

We are new in this forum bringing greetings from Salvador Bahia in Brazil. We’ll be cruising soon in a 46' Trawler displacing 25 Tons. The boat was designed by a Brazilian designer and it is fit for purpose to cruise in tropical waters. Yet, it is in our plans to go up to Alaska and down to Patagonia, our old time dream.
We’ll be reading all the threads in this site to learn as much as possible from your experiences and recommendations. Meanwhile, we’re at your service for any help or ideas that you may need from these latitudes.

Best Wishes

Jana & Fernando

Re: Permission to Board this Vessel ?

Jana and Fernando,

I'm sailing from the UK to Salvador later this year and then south to Uruguay.
Any advice on Salvador? Best marina for a first time arrival?

Re: Permission to Board this Vessel ?

Dear All
Thank you for the warm welcome. The idea is to interact along the way with you guys and exchange knowledge and experiences.

Oldvarnish:
If you're on a budget get the Marina Aratu inside the Bahia de Todos os Santos. Otherwise, you can share the high life in Bahia Marina staboard side as you enter the the bay.
Apart from that, you can moore in the Itaparica Marina across the bay in front of Salvador or, in other 5 marinas and yacht clubs in Ribeira.
