Penguin thinking about jumping off the iceberg

Good digital day to y'all,

I've been reading posts on this site for quite a while now and I guess its finally time to jump in and join the fun. I grew up on and around boats on an inland lake and wound up joining the sailing team at my college. Since then my sailing itch has grown considerably and I found myself the author of the team's training documents and maintenance manuals. Now I stand at the end of my educational tenure looking for a new group of sailors to learn from.

Regards,
physlent

Re: Penguin thinking about jumping off the iceberg

Welcome aboard CF, physlent. I hope you soon find some boats you'll enjoy crewing on. It is a lovely way to slither towards boat ownership, as you see quite a variety of types, and setups, which sparks ideas of your own, and eventually informs big decisions.

Re: Penguin thinking about jumping off the iceberg

Happy to be here JPA Cate! I'd love the opportunity to get more experience and as I'll be elaborating on in my next thread I'm more than slithering toward ownership.

Regards,
phsylent

Welcome aboard Physlent. If you've been lurking long, you know what you are getting into,so jump in... the water's fine.

You might want to fill in the blanks in your personal profile... things like your location and interests, for that info will help all of us answer any of your queries more accurately.
Remember that this is very much an international forum with members all over the world. This can lead to silly responses when we don't know where you are!

You do know that most often the penguin is pushed in by the others don’t You?
It’s how they determine if there are any Leopard seals around.

In all honesty that's precisely how I feel every time I join a new group. But this time its my own desires, aspirations, and curiosity that have pushed me.
