It is never too late to teach an old dog new tricks.
I find that tip/method the big time saver for me, when I am looking for an answer to a question and think it might reside somewhere in the countless comments on this huge repository of opinion and knowledge we call The Forum.
By the way, as more inspiration for doing what you want to do, there have been many "retired age" or "mature" or "older" or "Old Salts" who have done some remarkable sailing late in life.
Some have done it with little resources too.
If you want to get a sense of some "good yarns" and enjoy a good book, look for something written by Tristan Jones. I found his books
very enjoyable and well written. Just take them with a splash of saltwater.
