Offshore from Sydney

Hi All

35yr Sydney sider who really wants to hit the big blue. Looking to sail South just after NYE. I am still gaining experience. My boat is decked out in nav and safety gear but really looking for another boat that may be interested in heading down at the same time.

Infact I'm happy to sail anywhere to get my experience and hours up. But would just like a shadow or me be the shadow so I can put myself to the test.

Looking to trade the corporate life for one of sunsets, sand and margaritas.

Dan

Re: Offshore from Sydney

G'Day Dan,and welcome to CF.

Hope that you find your buddy boat. We will be going past you sometime in December if all goes to plan (gotta happen sometime!), but I gotta warn you:

Margaritas are thin o n the ground south of Sydney. VB or a nice red are more likely in those latitudes.

Anyhow, if you get to Tassie, keep an eye out for us and make yourself known.

Cheers,

Jim

Sounds great Jim
What sort of boat you traveling down in?
I was thinking of seeing the new year in on Sydney harbour then turn right out of the heads and see where I end up.
Would love to tackle Bass Strait!!!

I've a few crossings.
"Love" and "Bass Stait" don't belong in the one sentence
