OBX Sailing

Has anyone ever heard of the Downeast Rover sailboat in Manteo, NC? I'm visiting the Outer Banks next week, and I found their Web site, www.downeastrover.com, so I'm considering treating my fiance to a romantic sunset sail.

Does anyone know if it's any good?

I would imagine the experience would be similar to those of the American Rover in Norfolk, VA American Rover Tall Ship Cruises, Harbor Tours, Groups, for Norfolk and Virginia Beach

The overall experience can be very dependant on the guests sailing with you as well as the crew and their interaction with the guests.

I have done the American Rover out of Norfolk twice. Lucked out with great weather both times and had a wonderful cruise. If the crew are anything like the folks in VA, I am sure you will too.

In addition the Alliance sails out of Yorktown, VA and the Serenity sails out of Cape Charles, VA and the Selene II out of St Michaels, MD (eastern shore). I've seen all these boats and it is a nice time just watching them. On a nice evening it could be very memorable out of Manteo. The sunsets are nice down there.
