[Grady Bunch]

Hello!

I am completely new to sailing, only been on a sailboat a few times in my life, however, I have alot of experience with power boats and I am one hell of a fishermen. I love being on the water, no matter what it is and dream of living aboard in the near future (still working on the wife, next thread). I just sold my 2005 Grady White 228G fishing boat as the wife and I are moving to South Carolina in July. I am hoping I can convince her that we don't need to buy a house when we can live on the water in a boat!

I hope to ask you all a bunch of questions and learn from your experience and expertise in boats, how to convince family to live aboard and more.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and thanks in advance for the advice.

Welcome to the forum. I would have to side with your wife on this one. Living on a boat is great but when you are in your "golden years", it's nice to have the security of a house and the equity it builds up over time. At 70, I doubt your wife or you will like walking up the docks to use a marina's bathroom.
