Newby from Michigan says Hi!

Hi All;
I just signed on from Michigan. I've been intending to buy a small sailboat in the low to mid 20 foot range after I move to western Michigan. That's been delayed somewhat, so my new plan is to buy a mini-cruiser trailer boat that will tow with my current small wagon.
While I've settled on a Montgomery 15, they are a bit scarce around here.
The best description of cruising on a Monty I've found is that it's like camping under your dining room table. That's powered luxury compared to the paddling and kayak camping I've done.
The only nearby M-15 I've found isn't quite the one I want.
So, meanwhile, I'll just keep on learning and thinking Spring!

Have you ever thought of building your own? We're building a trawler and hope to start in March of next year. It's a bateau.com design. They have a few small trailer sailers that would seem to be comperable to the Monty.

Welcome aboard!! Another comparable boat is the West Wight Potter 15. They are well constructed and easily trailerable. Lots of Great Lake sailors here so you are in good company.
