Newbie :) from Nova Scotia

Great Site! Lots and lots of great info. Thanks to all!!We sail out of Nova Scotia, Canada. Currently have a Douglas 32 sailboat but are looking at buying our retirement boat within the next 1-3 years. We plan on heading to the Caribbean for one year +/- and see what happens from there. I have been sailing for approx. 16 years and my wife for 4 years. I have owned a Mirage 25 then a Contessa 26, Mirage 24 and now Douglas 32.Have been researching cruising boats on the net and buying many ,many booksover the past several years. Have narrowed my search to about 10 different boats but still see others that peek some interest. Am fond of late 70's and 80's and 36-40 ft..Happy sailing to all.Greg

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
Hope you find your dream boat.
I sail an International Folkboat from time to time and really like it. Your Contessa would be similar.
Kind regards,
JohnL

Welcome to the forum.
I have a friend restoring a contessa 26, beautiful boat. What are you thinking about for a cruising boat?
Cheers,
Erika

I can vouch for the Tartan 37, my parents sailed around the world in one (Hull#1)
Here is a great website that may help compare your choices
