Newbie

Finally bought my first sailing boat... Budget was low, but found a fully refurbished kirie feeling 286 special, for a fair price.. looking forward for some n.m. around malta this year, and hopefully sicily next year.

Welcome aboard. Does your Kirie have the lifting keel? Always intrigued by those and consider it for a future boat.

Had some fun with the boat, but now need to get some sailing lessons!!... That volvo 9hp engine, is toooo slow, and noisy!!

Good to have you posting here. I recommend lessons if you haven't been sailing much.
Those engines do make a lot of racket on a sailboat.

I was thinking to replace the engine in the near future, to something more power and maybe less noise!!..
