Newbe in Alvin Tx

I just signed onto this board. I have been a lurker for a while. Haven't sailed yet, but will be taking lessons within the next 2 mos. I am 49 and my mate and I palan on retiring when I am 55-57 and sail the world. We are trying to decide on which catamaran to build, so I will be asking a lot of questions as we go along.

Hello from another newbe. I just signed up 3 days ago! Small world, I
went to nursing school in Alvin, Tx back in 1975. Have a sister and 2 sons
living in the area. We had our present boat built in France and have
been cruising on it since Oct. 2003. Lots of fun and games when you build a boat, especially when the builder speaks no English and the customer
speaks minimal French!! Anyway, welcome aboard and hope we can exchange some ideas soon.
