New to the Site

Greetings to all. Just discovered this site by accident! I am a single, 70yr
old male. From 1968 to 1995, my primary profession was as Captain on private yachts, primarily ocean racers and large motor sailors, ranging from 40 to 100 feet. Most of my contracts and commitments were 1-5 years. I held a 500 ton Masters License, Power and Sail (currently in reserve) and stopped counting at 150,000 documented sea miles. I have just retired from the film industry where, for the past 17 years, I worked in the fields of both transportation and marine coordination. I have also been fortunate enough, between projects, to cruise extensively with friends over the past 20 years and
very much enjoy the long passages.
I am in good health and interested in whatever possibilities might arise to
sail with mellow, experienced, like-minded folks. No problem getting myself
there and sharing in the kitty for fuel, food, laundry, customs, etc.

Welcome Seatuner (are you a musician or Piano tuner?)....

You'll have fun here. If you want to know what the best anchor is or what boat is best for "blue water sailing" you can get immersed immediately.
The next best thing to playing and winning
is playing and losing ...
