New to the Forum - Wishing to Get My Feet Wet

hello every one i'm new to the forum and don't personal have a boat YET Aldo i been in many!

a question what is a good cheap ($5000 or less i will be used) boat for a beginner that wants to start with the family and some friends one that cat sit 6 to 8 people! kids and all! and we talking about some heavy people lol!

p.s. love the forum already

Hey Cubandude...welcome to Cruisers Forum.
I cant directly answer your question about the boat directly, but I can suggest you have a look at our search function, especially the Google bit.
Loads of inexpensive and cheap boat posts there...its a popular subject.
Good luck with the search and let us know what your finding.

Welcome aboard...look for some of the old McGregor boats...pretty cheaply built so cheap to buy new at the time even....coarse you don't say where your hailing from so that may not be a readily available boat.

Any boat under 3O feet is going to be cramped for 6 BIG pople, as well as some 30 footers for that matter.

There are lots of used boats that are under $5000, but their condition will vary significantly. If you don't know much about sailboats, you should become friends with someone who knows how to do a quick survey on a boat to make sure you are not purchasing a problem that will put you off sailing.
