Hello, All... My wife Darleen and I have been sailing a long time and plan eventually, to cruise and liveaboard our Irwin 37 ketch. We're looking forward to the adventure.

Welcome aboard, Rhon! I used to live just down the road from you, on Tabbs Creek, near Kilmarnock. Where do you sail your ketch?

Rhon...welcome aboard. This is a great forum and I hope you will stick with us. What are the specifics to your plan? Where will you be cruising?

Hi, Y'all... Thanks for the warm welcome. As for our plans, we (I) want to go cruising this summer going north to LI Sound and then stay on the boat going further south in the autumn. Darleen loves gardening so she doesnt' want to be gone very long at all.
for Hud3... We sail out of Coles Point Marina on the Potomac and so far have done only the Cheasapeake and Potomac, aside from bringing the boat up from Pamlico River in N.C. where I bought her and refurbed her for a couple of years. Eventually, I'd like to go as far as Belize, but there's no dead-line. I just finished four years of serving as Radio Officer on an ocean survey ship, on and off, so I'm ready for some adventures on my own.
Jim King100 ... You're right, this is a great forum. I've already got some plagueing questions answered about SeaClear chartplotter, which I really like to use, now.
I hope I can contribute something to the forum, too.
