New to the cruisers Forum

Hello all,

I'm new to the cruisers forum and thought I'd say hi!

I'm English, working at a bank on a 3 year assignment in NYC. I bought a 1979 Formosa 34' last year as a project and have been spending as much time as I can rebuilding / refitting it so that when I finish work here in April 2010 I can set off around the world.

After a couple of mishaps (stuffing box sprung a leak over the winter and my boat had about 4 ft of water in it before anyone realized), i'm progressing well with fixing her up... about to embark on a re-wiring project

Looking forwards to a nice summer in New York to learn how she sails! Happy to meet any fellow NY / NJ sailors!

James.

Aloha James,
Welcome aboard!! I think you've got the perfect sized boat. Hope you enjoy the forum. Sorry about your stuffing tube. 4 feet of water is serious.
Kind Regards,
JohnL
