| New to the Bahamas
Hello everyone. What a great idea this forum is! I just found it today..obviously. I am not only a new captain, but I am new to the Bahamas. Any advise on good places to take my boss? I am on New Providence Island and usually we'll only have 3-4 days to travel. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Christine |

You're close to the Berry Islands, Abacos, Exumas, and even Eleuthera, but with only 3 or 4 days at a shot ....... Anyway, Inkwell is right - you need a good cruising guide(s) and you will have a blast. These are some of the most spectacular waters in the world.

Hey all. Thanks for the replies. I know the Bahamas are not the best place for such a short period of time..I am a new captain on this 52' sloop and I just want to make the best of the owners' time while he's here. I think the Exumas are the best bet, especially if he can fly in or out of Highbourne Cay. We'll see. If anyone has questions about phones here....I can now answer every one.. Cheers, Christine |

Christine...if you are headed to the Exumas for a short stay...2 things spring to mind: 1. Visit the Exumas Land Sea Park 2. Visit Staniel Cay and the Thunderball Grotto |
