New to Sailing - Port St. Lucie, FL

Loved living in a travel trailer for 3 years, hate the home we now own, raised two wonderful kids, took some sailing classes, read books on live aboard lifestyle, and now Cathy and I are ready to try it.

This is a great site and I am sure we will active memebers as time goes on.

We currently live in Port Saint Lucie, FL and would like try living aboard on a temporary basis before we make the final plunge. Any ideas on how we might find a situation like this? We would also like to crew for others to get some experience.

Any other suggestions for newbies would be appreciated, too.

Cathy and Bill

Welcome to the forum Try posting a flyer at the local marinas for boatsitting opportunities, I started out by taking care of a brokerage dock. Also you can join the local yacht club for sailing experience. Have fun.
