Hey everyone! Name is Jon. I dont know where to start except to say that i love to sail. My wife and i took part in an ash spreading ceremony for her grandpa years ago on a sailboat out of
california. On the way back in the
captain let me take the
helm. We were motoring, but i still fell in love with the
boat and the ocean. I also love to
scuba dive and do that off
Catalina every chance i get. This past summer i bought a super snark and sailed the crap out of the local reservoir here. I am able to tack and gybe pretty well, and despite the changes in
wind direction i can pretty much end where i started. I have had the idea of
living aboard with my wife and son for a few years. Wife is tentative about the idea until she gets to spend a few days out on a
boat to see what it would be like. I have a job that lets me
work from anywhere i have an
internet connection so im heading in the right direction. Cant wait to read everything and continue down the road to a sailing life
