New to group

Ahoy all, Glad to be here. Currently preparing my new home the Yabba-Dabba-Doo for our first long distance voyage from Charlevoix, MI to Ft Myers beach,fl by way of the Mississippi River. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Re: New to group

Welcome to the group. Winter is coming fast up here and it is going to be a long one. Smart move heading to Florida. Would love to hear about your trip as you make the journey south.
Good luck

Aloha and welcome aboard!
An extra handheld VHF and lots of good charts. You'll want to stay in touch with all the river traffic.
Do you have radar?
