New to Forums, from Michigan

Hello out there,

This is the first time I have ever joined a forum, I have been watching this group for awhile and have found lots of useful information. Thanks to all of you who have supplied it! My husband and I are departing from land in less then 4 weeks, on our sail boat. Have lots of questions for anyone who has an ear to bend. Look forward to hearing from you!

Hey BlueWaterDream Welcome aboard. Where in Michigan are you departing from? I am origionally from Grand Haven and we are on our way back there but are still in Singapore at present. If you are heading out through the Great Lakes I would love to hear your stories as a few years from now I hope to be doing that trip in reverse.

Cheers

Mark

Bem Vindo Blue... Welcome to CF and a wide range of members/posters... ask your questions as often as you feel the need.. if my modest knowledge can help its yours.. if not there's plenty here wiser than me in many ways..
Its a great site..

Hi out there
I am new to this forum. I have had the desire to throw off the line since 1975. three boats later I feel that it will happen this year.
I live on the great lakes. My last boat was a bristol 32, owned for 20 years. I purchased a Hallberg rasmus 3 years ago & hope to have ready to depart for points south by this fall. I do have a few ? that i would like to ask in reference to the hydraulic steering. & the most suitable wind vane. Any of your opinions of the hr35 be they pos. or neg would be appreciated.
