New to Cruisers Forum

Hello, new member here have looked through a lot of earlier posts and decided to register hoping to get useful information. I am not new to boating, but still not very experienced. Most of my experience is on powerboats and houseboats on Lake Powell, though family owns a 22' Oday that have spent some time sailing on. I live in Denver for the reminder of this year and then planning on moving to Florida, which happens to be where the Oday is currently. My plans are to sail and live some on the Oday while I search for a slightly larger boat that is better suited for the Bahamas, and has a little more room in it. My first stop is going to be the Keys and maybe the Florida Bay to gain more experience as well. One question I have right away is about sailing to the Miami Strictly Sail show, if I arrive by boat will their be places to anchor and dinghy ashore to take in the seminars and the other venues?

Welcome to CF.

There are lots of people (boats) that come by water and anchor for the show. Someone that has done it will probably chime in. I have not but have seen lots and lots of boats anchored all around the area of the show.
