New to Cruisers Forum.

Hi everyone. My wife and I are natives to SC, living in Bluffton with 30+ years of sailing experience and now on our third boat, a Catalina 350. We have sailed with other couples on board, but space is tight especially after a few days.. Ideally would like to meet up with couples in their 60's with a similar boat to follow along... anything from a weekend to a Bahamas trip. We play bridge (intermediate level) and most other games, tennis when ashore, and enjoy good music, food and conversation and have enough time for extended trips...open minded, we even have friends that are smokers and republicans. Very interested in hearing from folks in the area or who often pass this way that would be interested in some sailing and fellowship.

Re: New to Cruisers Forum.

Hi Jake and welcome to the forum.

Understand a small boat can get crowded after a few days. That's one reason I got a center cockpit, aft cabin layout. I can go hide out in the aft cabin if I need a little peace and quiet.

Sorry can't help with your plans. I used to be pretty good at bridge but haven't played much since college. My boat is not even back in the water yet so I'm land bound anyway. But might see you out there next year.

Re: New to Cruisers Forum.

By the way, just noticed Bluffton is next door to Hilton Head. Had a boating friend many years ago that lived there, worked at the marina or yacht club if I recall. Since you're an old hand in the neighborhood ever meet a guy named Herb Hucks? I think his wife was Marie and might have been a teacher.

Welcome to CF!

Good luck with your 'fleet' plans

From such a distance we're unlikely bridge partners, but we still wish you fair winds and following seas.
