New Northwest online boating magazine

Hello fellow boaters,

I wanted to let you know that my husband and I - both avid sailors and former longtime newspaper reporters - just launched our new online magazine and blog, Three Sheets Northwest (Three Sheets Northwest*|*Exploring the waters of the Pacific Northwest)

The site is free and will offer a mix of news, features, reviews and opinions about boating and other marine-related issues in the Pacific Northwest, from profiles of interesting characters to pub reviews, from environmental issues to stories about the state of the industry.

One of the features we're most excited about is what we're calling OPB - Other People's Boats, in which we interview owners of interesting and unusual boats and tell their stories in their own words through audio slide shows. The first OPB is up now and features a gorgeous 1928 wooden boat (lots of pretty pictures!)

We started the site because we couldn't find another publication or website that's telling the many stories we want to tell about boating and marine culture in this region.

I invite anyone to check out the site, have a read and feel free to pass along any feedback or story ideas you might have. We want the site to be of interest to anyone who works, lives and/or plays on the water, so we'd love to know what readers would most like to see there.

Please have a look and let us know what you think.

See you on the water!
