New Member Wanting to Sail

I’m a new member of the forum. My name is Kristie and a am currently traveling in Latin America learning Spanish.
I’m interested in sailing experience and to sail around in the Caribbean and then possibly across the Atlantic to Europe. I have done a little sailing, but need to learn more! =)
Currently I am located in Guatemala and in the end of November - beginning of December I will be traveling to Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua. So it would have been awesome to join a crew with shared expenses on a sailboat somewhere along this way.

Welcome. There is a huge sailing scene located on the Rio Dulce in (Fronteras) Guatemala. I spent quite some time there on my first boat. Check out the local website that is written mainly by cruisers on the Rio who...well, have been there too long! Complete Guatemala Travel, Culture, Ecology, History, & Geographic Information
It will give you an idea of what is going on and who the characters are. You might find what you are looking for there.
