New Member says Hello from Australia

Hello from Sydney Australia

I have been looking for a Cruising Forum for a while and after a short browse around the forums this one seems to be a friendly and well informed place, so thanks for inviting me in.

My boat is a Dufour 35 Classic, launched in 1999. She spent a few years in Survey and in Charter in the Whitsundays, then the last few years before I bought her, in Pittwater about 20nM north of Sydney harbour.

I had the good fortune to buy the boat (in March this year) from a fanatical ship's husband and she is in great cosmetic condition for an 8 year old boat. The only things that I have done to improve her has been to install a Lowrance GPS chartplotter, and converted the head to electric. Also took off around 500Kg of spare "stuff"

Before buying her I had the boat surveyed and the marine surveyor found around $10,000AUD worth of repairs that were done by the former owners. Big thumbs up for offering to buy your boat "Subject to satisfactory survey".

Looking forward to participating in the forums
Any other Dufour 35 owners on board?
