G'day team, I'm new to the group, hope all are well and in good spirits (rum, bourbon, whichever spirits you like) I've decided real estate in New Zealand is too damned expensive and living aboard a yacht could be just the ticket. I know, I know, boats are expensive - but hey I've owned a Tasman 20 keeler before and also am a commercial skipper, so eyes are about as wide open as can be hoped. I'm kinda here to scout about for opinions and advice about how to go about setting up a yacht to live aboard. Any offerings would be gratefully received. By the way - the name "Three Play"? It refers to a pastime of mine, landyachting - 3 wheels, 3 play, pretty logical really. Been around boats all my life and really do prefer wind-power to fuel munchers. Cheers, threeplay |

Giday mate. Welcome. There are four other Kiwi's here participating, so we are getting stronger. Gmac, Chrisc, Seafox and me. Add your name to the World map by the way. Kerikeri eh? well you can't find many places better than that to drop a hook. Mate, if you wouldn't mind, could yopu re-ask your question in a topic heading below. Probably live a board would be good. You would then have a greater chance of having your question seen an answered. Not everyone visits the welcome forum. Look forward to seeing you around, cheers

Welcome 3 play: Good source of info here. Lots to learn from some very knowledgable people. Enjoy.
