NEW MEMBER, LOOKING FOR BERTHS

Hi, my name is Steve and I'm a 54 year old, college educated man. I worked for 5 years as a ships engineer on a small cruise ship and I know boats well. However, I have never sailed and would like to learn how. I am willing to help reposition or just help man undermanned boats in exchange for training and experience in sailing. I have been up and down the West Coast between Juneau and Cabo a few times and worked in a couple of the shipyards(Todds and Lake Union in Seattle and Ketchikan). I live in Olympia and I am looking for things on the West Coast. I would love to hear from people in the area, even if it is just to talk about sailing.

Re: NEW MEMBER, LOOKING FOR BERTHS

Hi Ikon and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I'm Florida and my boat is on the hard, otherwise I would invite you out for a sail.

Good luck. There are plenty of forum members in your neighborhood.
