Hi there everyone!
Today my husband and I put in writing our goal to set off on our long-talked-about cruise by March 31, 2016. We have a major To-Do list and I'm hoping that this forum might help us over the next four years (three years, eleven months and two days!). I'm looking forward to chatting with other members about adventures you've had and things that have helped you along the way!

Re: New Member
Welcome on board....
Three years and 360 days will go very fast and indeed may not seem enough time. You have to distill the contents of the house into a boat. We are going through that right now and it is really quite hard work.. Keep a diary of the the preparation work as it is part of the sailing adventure..
BTW I am not sure I would recomend sailing off into the sunset from FL. Your sail will be very short indeed!! Suggest instead to sail into the dawn...

Re: New Member
Welcome. I've found this place to be an invaluable resource. We started our own process about a year ago and every time I had a question the good folks here answered.

Re: New Member
Welcome and ditto to what others have said. I bought and moved onto my boat a year ago, and anytime I need to learn something new, or figure something out about sailing or my boat, this is the first place I go.
