I own a Beneteau 361 and have been sailing it with my wife for 5 years out of Stratford, CT. It's well equipped for coastal cruising. We cruise to Block Island, Newport, Montauk, Mystic and places in between. This is an excellent site. Good to meet everyone. Sincerely, Steve W.

Hi and Welcome!

I am fairly new here and I agree it is an excellent site. I hope to see you out in Long Island/Block Island Sound. I sail out of Port Jefferson Harbor.
I can't wait to get the boat in the water.

Paul

Aloha Steve,
Welcome aboard and good to have you here. In Hawaii Bentos are little lunches packaged in styrofoam containers. "It isn't lunch if it don't include two scoops rice, brah!"
I'd like to hear more about your Beneteau. I don't see many pull in over here.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Welcome "AtLast2"!

I learned to sail on Long Island Sound and enjoyed my weekend Block Island trips and visits to the many other interesting places around the Sound.

I look forward to revisiting them vicariously through your posts about your LIS adventures.

I trust the fog, the ferries, the barges, and the submarines are all still "watch outs?"

Atlast,

It's nice to see new folks from CT here. I hope you can learn something and pass along some clues to the NE coast for the rest of us. I hope to be up your way in a few years.

Bentos?

Sliprjohn, those bentos migrated to HI. We have them here too, but they live in orange/red plastic packs with clear lids....
