Hi all

I live in Cape Town South Africa and am new to the sailing world.
I have just built a stitch and glue sailing dinghy for my son and I.
I have rigged it up with a wind surfer sail mainly because I had no clue how
to build a sail etc. We have taken it out for its first test to sort out bugs.
Lots of bugs were found and sorted. We are now waiting for another good day
for the first real sail.
I am sure I will have many questions as the sailing bug bites deeper.

Welcome to the forum Winghy.
Congratulations on building the boat....have you got any pictures of her?
How did you hold the mast upright...I thing most wind surfers hold them up by hand.

Re: New Member

Aloha and welcome aboard!
I've built stitch and glue sailing dinghies and they are a blast.
There are a lot of second hand dinghy sails here in the U. S. for very cheap.
kind regards,
