HI all,
Just wanted to introduce myself. Not a sailor just a dreamer of owning a 30' cruiser and living aboard. Spent a life time riding behind a cow. Turned Web Designer 6 years ago. Some day hope to move to the Pacific Northwest from Montana and living aboard.
Going to have to learn to sail. Do you think that 61 is to old. LOL Hope not. Was raise on the Gulf Coast and sure have missed the water all these years.

Lost, great to have you aboard. The PNW is a good choice to get back on the water.

Well if you are too old to sail then you are probably too old for anything else too. It's mostly about showing up. You can't do it unless you try and there are too many folks here that just tried it and liked it.
Given a boat with sails no telling where you could go. Just one suggestion however - leave the cow. Cows don't sail well unless packaged and frozen. If you even think you want to sail, you are most welcome here.

Hey Alan, he misspelled "too" in "Do you think that 61 is to old."
I don't know, maybe we should slap his hand
Ah heck, lets just go sail'n......................_/)
Oh BTW, Welcome aboard Lostmt.
My kin was from MT. They moved over to Bellingham back in the early 1900's and we're still here in the Sound. My Dad followed cows around until he came here, and then became a sailor. Actually, a Merchant Marine, for 30 years.
I'm only 5 years behind you and sailing is what keeps me in shape, when I can get out there.

Aloha LostMt,
I'm 61. Want to liveaboard. Have had lots of sailing experience and even own a big boat but am still on dry land. It is never too late to get started on a dream.
Welcome aboard!! If you have any questions or comments they are welcome here and no one will ever criticize except spelling.
Kind Regards, --John--

Rick,
I understand the poking fun no problem. If you looked at the URL it is also Yacths Instead of Yachts You should have stayed longer you would have ended up at my main design site. The Yacths (LOL) is a new site that I am going to use to get away from the back end of a cow. It's still in the design stages.
I am a self taught designer. No college just 18 hours a day right here at my PC for a solid 18 months. Not an easy task. I like to design sites with eye appeal, easy to navigate, and interesting. I don't go for the generic type site full of junk that you get lost in the mess. I want the viewer to feel like the person who has the business is just like them and not just interested in their money. I deal with one company online and when they reply to one of my email it is just signed "support@theirurl.com" No name or thank you just keep sending the money. I wonder why I keep doing business with them.
Getting long winded,
Thanks one and all for the welcome.
Have a great weekend
David

Rick,
Thanks for the offer. I might take you up on that someday. My dad built sailboats before the war but never went back to it afterwards. Died in 1956 He was in the Coast Guard. They wouldn't take me so I gave 7 in the Army. Hope the sailors around here don't mind a GI.
Thomas,
I like your site very pleasing and interesting.

David - we don't worry about your past - it's your present 'bent' that is most important - and, since you are logged in here .. obviously you are on the right track
Oh.. and thanks .. re: my web site

Hi,
I know this doesn't belong here. Any thought on a 1960 30' Seafarer Tripp30 Classic as a first sailboat. Good condition and ready to sail. Located in the SF bay area. Long ways from me right now.
